I ask because I'm working on something in Automation, and have to do the dance wherein I'm crosschecking wikipedia, the manufacturer's various websites, and still can't usually come up with a fairly good picture on the component parts of a ton of engines. Is there a website that has collected the info I'm looking for?

I've had this same problem... but also, when making a 22R, the correct bore and stroke did not produce the correct ccs.

Big fan of automobile-catalog. For example, heres the specs page for the 1997 A6 Avant.
http://www.automobile-catalog.com/make/audi/a6_c…
Can get more detailed specs too by following the links.

A problem I've definitely encountered. I haven't found a site, but if you have some spare time is be up for putting time in to create such an item.

I ran into the same issue.

That's actually very helpful. Thank you.
edit - Actually, that's a massive understatement. This is exactly what I'm looking for, as it has the engines I'm looking for with very, very detailed info.
Hell, this is going to be useful for things other than Automation.

I'm thinking about it, given all the research I've done lately.

Let me know I can help with research and page set up. I would probably use the wiki open source to create it. I feel like a wiki would be the best format for each engine. Then others can add detail we may not know about each unique engine.

Well if we're taking Wikipedia's data, a 22R is apparently 91.9mm bore x 88.9mm stroke, which is 2359cc. Yet they claim it's 2366cc.
Other sources claim 92mm x 89mm and 2367cc, which DOES add up correctly. I think the data you're working from might be flawed.

okay, you have a point. I used Wikipedia's data.
